The campsite
Beach camping or panoramic views?
Camp close to the beach, in the hills or near our service facilities! We offer you a wide range of options. We have almost 300 seats. They are divided into areas named after Danish kings and historical figures. More than 80 % of our pitches have a view of the sea. So during your stay at Gammelmark Strand Camping you have a good chance of enjoying the view across the water to the Düppeler Mühle and the town of Sonderburg.
You can find an overview map of the site here.
Kong Frederik
Open space near the beach
Area F | from DKK 350
This area is named after King Frederik IX, the naval king and father of our former queen. He spent the summers with his family at Gråsten Castle. He often visited Gammelmark from here. Read more about it here!
Many of our motorhome guests prefer pitches in this area. You can camp here wherever you like. You just need to keep the required minimum distance of three meters between units. A good place for groups traveling together, as it is usually possible to camp close together or right next to each other.

Holger Danske
Place close to the beach
Area H | aB DKK 250
A legendary hero of folklore and the protector of Denmark in the Middle Ages. He is regarded as a patriotic figure for Denmark and was said to have hidden in the vaults of Kronborg Castle in Helsingør.
The pitches are located on a level area with hedges, close to the main building and the reception. This makes the area the closest thing to a “normal” campsite. Most of the pitches are surrounded by hedges and offer plenty of sun and good protection from the wind. You can see the beautiful sunset from here all summer long, and the area is right next to the fields. From here, your children won’t have far to one of our jumping pillows and to the three playgrounds located nearby.

This square is divided into terraces and is located on a large hill. From here you definitely have the most beautiful view of the Düppeler Mühle and Sonderburg. The pitches in this area are approximately 100 m² in size. All pitches have access to water.

Our largest pitches (pitch size approx. 150 m²)
Area E | aB DKK 400
Erik Ejegod was King of Denmark from 1095 to 1103. Under his rule, Denmark received the Archbishopric of Lund in 1103, an important step toward ecclesiastical independence from the German Archbishopric of Hamburg-Bremen.
In the area named after him, you will find new, large comfort pitches. The pitches are located close to the swimming pool and our largest playground.
The area is also right next to our largest service building. Here you will find, among other things, the large communal kitchen, with the large barbecue area right next door.
The pitches at Erik Ejegod are our largest. Most of the pitches are larger than 150 m². Each unit has its own electricity connection, water tap and waste water connection.

Free WIFI
With our free WiFi, you can stay in touch with family and friends while enjoying your holiday at Gammelmark. You will receive the WiFi password at check-in and can then use the internet without any limits.
Unfortunately we can’t promise you high speed connection during weeks where we are fully booked.
Electricity
You can get electricity on all our pitches, billed according to actual consumption.
When you check in, you will receive a card that you can top up with credit for our electricity tapping points. The same card is also used for the barrier at the driveway, for the family bathroom, the swimming pool and the laundry room. You can find out more about our service facilities here and about the swimming pool here.
If you need an adapter to use our power outlets, you can borrow one from reception on arrival. Our power sockets use CEE plugs.
Dogs are welcome
At Gammelmark Strand Camping we love dogs – we even have an office dog. However, we do have a few rules for our four-legged friends.
We ask for your understanding that not all our guests share the same enthusiasm for dogs as we do. We would therefore like to point out that dogs must always be kept on a leash on our premises. It is also your responsibility to clean up your dog’s droppings – please make sure you pick them up.
If you remember this tiny set of rules, we might have a treat for your dog in the reception. We can’t wait to say hi!
